Borrowed from the Boys

I'm really into wearing men's shirts/sweatshirts as dresses or tunics lately and I like this tied button down underneath to add a little something extra to the look. And I'm excited it's finally getting a little colder here in the bay area and it's becoming more appropriate to wear beanies and faux fur because I looove them. Hello winter (ish).

Friendsgiving

My friends and I had Friendsgiving last weekend. And I obviously requested we all get dressed up, because dressing up is the best, DUH. I joked that the dress code was: Fancypants contempo semi formal promiscuous pilgrim, but I actually think I really nailed it on the head.

Dress: I got a few years ago from PacSun. I found a few other velvet dresses here and here. Shirt: Banana Republic, from last year. There's a similar one here. Sparkly Tights: I actually have no idea where I got these gold sparkly fishnets. But, here are some fun ones, and these, and these! Boots: Lulu's. I found super similar ones at Forever21.

Nineties

Island in the Sun

This jumpsuit is super comfy and cute. I love the pattern (I've been liking tropical-looking patterns more and more lately). And it comes in tall sizes so it fits me! As far as the sandals, I LOVE STUDS, and spikes and these are just perfect.

Casual Cool

Two new favorite pieces: Jeans + Top. And two old favorites: Shoes + Jacket.

Denim: Gap (I did not get these in a tall size, so they're shorter on me than they would be on non-5'11" human). Top: Topshop from Nordstrom. Jacket: An older one from Nordstrom (and faux leather, of course) Another one I like can be found here. Shoes: Vans. Black Authentics would also work well with this look.

Classics with a Twist

It was a bit windy and my hair was a bit crazy
