Team USA

I've got one hand in my pocket, and the other is giving a peace sign.

Being all patriotic and such seeing as it's World Cup time (and the US is moving on to the next round!) and a week away from the 4th of July. I like to mix blue and red a lot anyway and now it's fairly appropriate.

The Bachelorette: Part 2

So, I don't think I have any cohesive complete sentences to express my feelings about The Bachelorette right now except, why am I still watching this show? Instead, I thought I would just write the thoughts that went through my mind as I watched last nights episode. Here they are:

-Why are they sailing into Venice on a pirate ship?
-How many times can Andi say, "there's no other place in the world like this"?
-Cody is the worst.
-Eww you guys, don't feed those pigeons. They're like rats with wings.
-Where did Marcus come from? He is definitely the hottest.
-The background music is too loud. I can barely hear what this guy is saying.
-Andi is really starting to annoy me.
-Wait, maybe Marcus isn't the hottest.
-Hold on, yes he is.
-Why do they rarely show him. I thought I had made him up in my head and that's why I hadn't seen him again.
-This lie detector test is just an awful idea.
-I'm no relationship expert, but I think taking a lie detector test is not the way to start a successful relationship.
-This is not a two-way street Andi. You answered the easiest questions in the world. It's not the same thing as the guys doing it.
-THIS ISN'T A DATE, IT'S AN INTERROGATION.
-Ughh, thank you for ripping up the results.
-That whole thing was a waste of time.
-Why are these two guys sitting in a sauna together if they don't like each other? This is so weird.
-I take what I said about Marcus back, he's not the hottest.
-This show makes me really uncomfortable most of the time.
-I want to fast forward through Cody's date. If he doesn't get sent home I'm going to stop watching this show (not really, but I'll be really mad).
-Stop saying her name so much Cody.
-You're coming on a little strong.
-Strike that, a lot strong.
-Pull it back man, pull it back.
-Stop. STOP.
-Look, now you made her cry.
-Finally Andi, you should have sent him home last week when I told you to.
-I might like Dylan more if he didn't have that haircut.
-Okay, so sometimes Marcus looks really cute, and other times he's just not. I don't know.
-I knew that guy was gonna get sent home. Goodbye whatever your name is.
-Whelp, that's it. See ya next week Brussels. I look forward to hearing that you are the most romantic city in the world and that there is no better place to fall in love. Don't worry Brussels, I'm sure they mean every word of it.

The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco

So, summer in the bay area can be a fickle creature. One day it will be beautiful and sunny and I can get away with wearing shorts and a t-shirt (although it never gets much hotter than 75 degrees). And then the next day it will be a day filled with cold weather and dreary fog. The latter is what happens more often. Hence, the comfy sweater, Giants beanie, and my favorite vans slip ons.

Winter is Coming?

SPOILERS. This post has SPOILERS. Did I mention SPOILERS :) Don't read if you're not caught up on Game of Thrones. Unless you don't care about it being spoiled, then read away.

So, I'll admit it, there are a good amount of things I start watching because there are attractive men involved; I'm talking to you World Cup. So when The Red Wedding occurred on Game of Thrones I was serious about boycotting the show. I believe I even said aloud, to my empty room, that I would never watch the show again (that obviously didn't last). But I mean, come on, not Robb Stark. He was by far the most attractive one on the show (Jon Snow running a close second). I mean look at him...

Miss you Robb Stark. So now that it's just Jon Snow left, whenever I watch, I'm afraid that every episode may be his last, so I was very happy that he has made it through another season. Aaaand Arya is coming his way. I've been waiting and waiting for some of these darn Starks to be reunited, and they just cannot seem to make it happen. It's always really bothered me when people in shows are looking for someone and they just miss them, so I really hope Arya finds Jon. Also, where is the little Stark brother? He split with Bran and his peeps forever ago. I've been waiting all season for him to show up and he never did.
Anyway, the purpose of my hot guy rant was to say that I was very happy Jon Snow made it through another season. I was also glad that no one I was really attached to died, sorry papa Lannister, the Hound, and Tyrion's girlfriend. And speaking of Tyrion...whaat? murderer? what? I still love him.

General observations I had throughout the episode:
-I like Jaime Lannister more and more every episode, until he has sex with his sister, then I dislike him again.
-I dislike Cersei more and more every episode (and I didn't even like her to begin with), especially when she has sex with her brother.
-Ghost doesn't get nearly enough screen time.
-Arya is a bad ass and I love her, same goes for Daenerys. Who run the world? GIRLS
-I wasn't sad when anyone died in this episode. Okay, I was a little sad when the little boy from Love Actually got stabbed by those skeleton guys, but I kind of saw that one coming.
-I was, however, very sad when the dragons had to be chained up. Poor dragons.
-Does it make me a horrible person that I care more about the dragons and wolves than I do about the people? Probably, but those dragons were so sad. They were cryyying.
-I'd be perfectly happy watching an entire show with just Jon Snow's storyline.
-More wolves! I just want more wolves.
-Seriously, where is that youngest Stark? And why can't I remember his name?
-People keep saying, "winter is coming" but we have yet to see this winter. Where is it? How long is it going to take to get there? How do they know it's coming?

Whelp, that's about it. You can find me watching old episodes of Game of Thrones when Robb Stark was alive and all was well with the world.
